STEPS TO PEACE WITH GOD!

Your NEW LIFE!

When you receive Christ, you are born into God's family through the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit, who indwells every believer. This is called regeneration or "new birth." God bless you as you begin your new life in Christ!
Did you receive the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior? You're probably thinking, "Now What?"

Well, here are a few great ideas to help you start living...
Your New Life:
  • - You should tell someone! Share the Good News with someone that the Lord Jesus Christ saved you and you now have a New Life in Christ. Please, click here to tell us and we'll send you free literature to help you grow in your new relationship with God.
  • - You need to go to a Bible-believing and teaching church. We invite you to join us at Slidell Bible Chapel for our next meeting (if you live in our area). Go to our Home page on this site for information on our meeting times or give us a call at 985.641.3785. If you don't live in our area, contact us using our Contact Us page and we'll help you find a good Bible-believing and teaching church in your area.
  • - You need to be baptized as the first step of obedience. When you find a good Bible-believing and teaching church, ask to be baptized. It's the Biblical way to profess your faith and to proclaim your New Life in Christ to the world.
  • - You need to read the Bible everyday so you know the truth and how to live. The Bible is how God speaks His Word to you. It contains all that we need to know to live a life that pleases God. Be sure to contact us if you need a Bible and we'll send you a free one!
  • - You need to pray daily and develop a personal relationship with Him. Praying is when you talk to God. Tell Him anything you want. He promises to listen and to answer our prayers. Prayer will move your heart to be aware of God's presence in your New Life.

The Bible says...

"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." --Romans 10:13 (NIV)

"He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life..." --1 John 5:12-13a (NKJV)

"Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." --Romans 8:39 (NIV)
